Mormon Wives’ Mikayla Matthews Says She’s “Barely Surviving” After Chronic Illness Diagnosis
Mikayla Matthews may be a Utahn no more.
The Secret Lives of Mormon Wives star shared her process of relocating to Hawaii in an effort to ease her ongoing Chronic Inflammatory Response Syndrome symptoms.
As Mikayla wrote onscreen in her April 29 Instagram video, “Travel with me to heal my skin.”
“It’s finally time to tell you guys where I’m moving away,” she added in the video which featured her travel journey. “We’re going to Hawaii.”
In the clip, Mikayla—mom to kids Beckham, 8, Haven, 6, Tommie, 4, and Lottie, 9 months, with estranged husband Jace Terry—can be seen traveling to her new destination with two of her little ones.
Although the reality star—who opened up about her diagnosis with CIRS in March—shared she had multiple skin flare-ups during the plane ride to the island, nothing could bring her down. As she put it, “I’m just so excited to be here. Positive vibes.”
“Officially starting the new chapter,” Mikayla, 26, wrote in the caption of the post. “In the most beautiful place how STUNNING is this resort!?! @thewestinmaui.”
