The Green Bay Packers have handed their wide receiver Jayden Reed a mega-money contract extension.
On Friday, Reed and the Packers agreed terms on a three-year deal worth $50.25 million in new money. Reed will be getting $20m fully guaranteed.
Reed, who turns 26 next week, only managed to play in seven games last season after breaking his collarbone in Week 2. He still made 19 catches for 207 yards and scored one touchdown.
However, in his first two years in the NFL, Reed led the Packers in receiving yards and will be desperate to improve on his slow numbers next season.
Reed was due to be entering the final year of his rookie contract after the Packers drafted him in the second round in 2023.
He will form a key part of Green Bay’s receivers room next year alongside Christian Watson, Matthew Golden and Savion Williams.

The Packers are yet to get involved in this year’s NFL Draft after they were one of eight teams without a first-round pick, having traded theirs to the Dallas Cowboys for Micah Parsons.
‘It was really not a lot different with the exception the phones weren´t ringing, we weren´t having a lot of conversations with other teams,’ Packers general manager Brian Gutekunst said about the slow night.
‘A lot more discussions about the players. I think it was, it went like I thought it would go.’
They do, however, have eight picks to use and will be on the clock for the first time this year at No. 52 in the second round and No. 84 in the third round on Friday night.
Their remaining six picks are spread across rounds five, six and seven on Saturday.
