3 Reasons to Watch ‘Interview With the Vampire’ Spinoff

Talamasca: The Secret Order quietly arrived on Netflix this August and quickly became one of the platform’s most-watched series. The vampire thriller blends the paranormal with elements of espionage, expanding the supernatural universe with a new, exciting story. Packed with secrets, supernatural elements, drama, and plenty of twists and turns, the series gives a refreshing new look at a hidden organization operating secretly in the shadows.

After premiering on AMC in fall 2025, the show has found a new life on Netflix this week. For those intrigued by the premise, here are three reasons to watch Talamasca: The Secret Order.

Talamasca: The Secret Order is a standalone story

Talamasca: The Secret Order is a spin-off of AMC’s Interview with the Vampire series. Although it is set in the same universe, the show is a standalone spy thriller with supernatural elements. So, it can be enjoyed without watching Interview with the Vampire. Even those who are unfamiliar with Anne Rice’s Immortal Universe or have never watched the Sam Reid-starring series can follow the story. While the Talamasca itself is a real organization drawn from Rice’s novels, protagonist Guy Anatole and his storyline are original to the series, not adapted from any specific book.

Another reason to watch the show is the cast.

Talamasca: The Secret Order has a talented cast

Talamasca: The Secret Order features a talented cast who bring its complex, layered, and mysterious characters to life. Nicholas Denton, known for his roles in Dangerous Liaisons, stars as Guy Anatole in the series. William Fichtner, who has appeared in Contact and Armageddon, plays Jasper, while Elizabeth McGovern portrays Helen.

Céline Buckens, Will Brown, Bryony Hannah, and Jonathan Aris are also part of the main cast. Bored to Death actor Jason Schwartzman also makes a guest appearance in the series. The cast showed brilliant performances, elevating the show and making it worth watching.

Talamasca: The Secret Order is a fast paced show

What makes Talamasca: The Secret Order particularly interesting is its surprising blend of espionage and supernatural elements. The fast-paced six-episode series will keep viewers hooked till the end. The story follows Guy Anatole, a law graduate with the psychic ability to hear people’s thoughts.

When he is recruited by the secret occult organization Talamasca, Guy is tasked with finding out a double agent within the society. His mission begins after Soledad, a member of the Talamasca, is killed while being hunted by a vampire named Jasper. While Guy has motivations of his own, the mystery will keep viewers at the edge of their seat. From psychic abilities to a dangerous hunt for a double agent, Talamasca: The Secret Order is certainly worth a binge-watch.
