“The 100 was such a rollercoaster for me. The first couple of episodes felt like your average teen drama with hot young people doing hot young people things in a different setting. Then it actually started getting good, leading up to a strong season finale. Season 2 was amazing, connecting a bunch of dots to the first season. Didn’t hold back on some morality questions and body horror. Season 3 blew my mind again with the introduction of the whole AI chip thingy, connecting more dots and adding more complexity and tension. Then Season 4 happened. Then Season 5…they had good moments, but eventually I wasn’t sure I was even watching the same show. Then it didn’t hold my interest anymore. It had ‘masterpiece’ moments in the first three seasons. I was invested. But they dragged it along, and eventually, we aren’t on Earth; half the characters have changed, everybody has made terrible decisions, and there was really no one left to root for. They really dropped the ball Season 4 onwards.”
