Ryan never made an official public statement addressing the allegations, but during his domestic assault trial in 2022, he told the jury, “I cheated on my ex-wife, which was quite a public affair.” In 2019, Rhodri appeared on the Almost Famous podcast, where he said, “I don’t speak to any of my family. None of them speak to me. They all speak to Ryan, and they all live in Wales and go to Wales games and have nice food and nice hospitality.” He added, “It’s like I’ve done the affair.”

He also said that his brother had tried to reconcile, but that Ryan’s words were “all fake.” According to Rhodri, “He expects me to just forget it and act like things are normal, but no, I went to the papers, and from that day they never spoke to me.”
