The Pixel 8 Pro is still worth it in 2025

It has a beautiful screen and great cameras

Although the Pixel 8 Pro was released in 2023, it remains a worthwhile consideration in 2025. It features a beautiful 6.7-inch OLED screen with a 2,992 x 1,344 pixel resolution, a 120Hz refresh rate, and a peak brightness of 2,400 nits.

The Google Tensor G3 chipset powers the phone, and while it may not be as fast as Apple’s latest chips or Qualcomm’s, it gets the job done and helps deliver a smooth software experience. I use a Pixel 8a, which uses the same chipset, and I’ve never experienced any performance issues with it. For RAM, the Pixel 8 Pro comes with 12GB, which is more than enough for running multiple apps and utilizing AI features.

If you want to take some great photos, the Pixel 8 Pro won’t disappoint you. It has a triple rear camera setup, with a 50-megapixel wide camera, a 48-megapixel ultra-wide lens, and a 48-megapixel telephoto shooter with a 5x optical zoom. Battery life shouldn’t be much of a concern either, as the Pixel 8 Pro packs a 5,050mAh battery, which will handily last you all day.
