Huntr shared information about what is working in job search per Q2 of 2025. It’s interesting to me and I thought I would share it with you.

An Advantage to Having a LinkedIn Premium Account

Allison Doyle shared information from a firm called Huntr  on LinkedIn that I thought was interesting. I wanted to share it with you. Their report basically said that right now, Google Jobs is getting almost three times the response rate that a LinkedIn application will get. Their response rate is 9.3%. I’ll let you do the math on the rest: Glassdoor: 7.3%, Wealthfound (which is the old AngelList, which is startups): 6.4%, Indeed: 4.7%, ZipRecruiter: 3.8%. ZipRecruiter doesn’t surprise me because it’s closer to being a mass-market site than LinkedIn is.

Two-page resumes have the highest success rate getting interviews: 3.69% of the time, which is a bit higher than the 3.6% for a one-page resume. Job hunters who customized their resume for specific jobs achieved a 5.75% conversion rate from their application to interview or offer, compared to 3.6% or 68% who customized a generic resume.

In addition, half of job hunters received their first interview 22 days or less. Others waited weeks or even months to secure an interview. The median time from application to first offer increased by 22% to 68.5 days. 68.5 days from interview to offer, and that’s a long time, quite obviously, and thus a reminder for you that you have to continuously job search even when you have a bunch of good interviews.
