The Waiting For Ideas PP-1 turntable has been created by the Paris-based creative studio as a minimalist take on the classic media player that’s crafted with impressive elegance and performance in mind.
The turntable doesn’t feature a tonearm and is crafted with a cubic body that’s made out of a solid block of anodized aluminum. The result is an ultra-industrial solution that takes 12 weeks to be manufactured. The inverted cartridge design of the unit means the player requires records to be positioned upside-down during playback, hill a set of metal doors conceal the components when not in use.
The Waiting For Ideas PP-1 turntable is priced at €5,800 and can also be paired with a set of 85dB 80W speakers that match for an additional €3,200.
