Looking for the next film simulation recipe to try with your Fujifilm camera? How about an iconic look from Kodak, like Kodachrome 64? Film photographers and hybrid photographers would be familiar with this legendary film stock. So it’s not surprising why a lot of photographers like Tom Juggins have been interested in applying its look to their digital snaps, even when using Fujifilm cameras.

Curious? In the video above, Tom shares that he swears by this Kodachrome 64 film simulation recipe by Ritchie Roesch for over four years. “Kodachrome 64 works beautifully across a range of lighting conditions, from overcast days to golden light and it nails that nostalgic colour palette I’m always chasing,” he says in the description. Then, he proceeds to share his thoughts on the photos he shot with a Fujifilm X-T4 and applied with the Kodachrome 64 film simulation recipe.

“Kodachrome 64 has this timeless nostalgic feel. Rich reds, muted greens, creamy skin tones. It reminds me of old photos from the ‘90s, and it’s super versatile,” he describes. “Whether it’s [a] bright, sunny day like today, or it’s raining or overcast, it still gives me the images that I love straight out of camera.”
