Two schoolgirls and an elderly dog walker have been rushed to hospital after being struck by lightning during wild thunderstorms.
The teenage girls were at a high school in Mount Helena, 35km east of Perth, when they were struck about 10.10am on Thursday.
Both were treated by paramedics before being taken to nearby hospitals.
Meanwhile, a man in his 70s was walking his dog in Karrinyup when he was struck about 9.30am and suffered serious injuries.
He was rushed to Royal Perth Hospital.
