Now that we are in the midst of the holiday season – and travel is top of mind for most – I want to share my pre-flight and in-flight beauty must-haves. Below I am walking you through my step-by-step travel beauty routine!
Since someone will ask, you can shop my above coat here and boots here!
MY PRE-FLIGHT ROUTINE IN 7 STEPS

STEP ONE // A great face cleanse. I typically use this face cleanser that features a gentle exfoliant.
STEP TWO // Red light mask. Prior to traveling I always try and do one last session with my red light mask as I typically do not take it with me on the road. I am obsessed with mine. You can shop it here.
STEP THREE // Next step is to use resurfacing pads. I am currently using these that are effective and not too harsh on my skin.
STEP FOUR // I have tried to get in the habit of applying serum everyday. Oftentimes when I am in a rush this step tends to get neglected, but never on a travel day. I use these drops. Make sure to get your neck and chest too!
STEP FIVE // As I am getting older I have started to step up my under eye game. Right now I am using this formula in my rotation and loving it. You really only need the smallest dab!
STEP SIX // Planes are known for being so incredibly dry. Because of this I am always looking to use the thickest moisturizer prior to arriving at the airport. My current pre-flight routine consists of this moisturizer paired with this cream.
STEP SEVEN // Don’t skip the SPF – even if you are spending lots of time indoors or even in the winter! My favorites are this one and this one.
WHAT I BRING ON THE PLANE
Okay, once I am on board I always like to have a few key beauty items within reach in-flight. These help keep me feeling fresh, moisturized, and ready to hit the ground running.
THE BEST FACE MIST // This face mist is such a wonderful mid-flight pick me up. It is light and doesn’t have a heavy scent (something I try to avoid on planes at all costs). A great way to reenergize the product you have already applied.
UNDER EYE MASK // If it is a long haul flight I typically will use these approximately 45 minutes prior to landing. I keep them on for 15 minutes.
OVERNIGHT MASK // It doesn’t have to truly be an overnight flight, but for any 5+ hour flight, I pack this mask. In flight I personally like an applied mask compared to a sheet mask.
FACIAL OIL // If I am really feeling the stale, dry air this oil always does the trick. I have also found that it works wonders on my cuticles and hands that tend to get dry when taking to the sky!
DON’T FORGET THE LIPS // I don’t wear make up in-flight and prefer a clear lip balm or gloss. This is the lip item that takes every trip with me.
