Today show host Dylan Dreyer and husband Brian Fichera have split after more than 10 years of marriage.
Dreyer, 43, announced the news via Instagram on Friday, July 18. “For many years I have shared my family with you all — the highs and lows. The ups and downs. And all of the blessings and beautiful memories in between,” her statement began. “I am incredibly grateful for the support and love you’e given me through it all. For that reason, I want to share with you that a few months ago, Brian and I made the decision to separate.”
She continued, “We began as friends and we will remain the closest of friends. Most importantly, we will continue to coparent our three wonderful boys together with nothing but love and respect for one another. Thank you as always for your support.”
Dreyer added a simple red heart emoji in the caption.

“At the end of our wedding, the DJ asked Brian what song to play last. Brian just randomly said, ‘Viva La Vida’ by Coldplay,” she recalled. “We have no connection to the song, but it was absolutely perfect. I tied up my long dress and he just spun me around the dance floor. It was pure joy and love and happiness.”

As Dreyer and Fichera’s relationship grew over the years, so did her career. Throughout their marriage, she rose the ranks at NBC, where she is currently a meteorologist on NBC News and a coanchor on Today during the show’s third hour.
The estranged couple also expanded their family after tying the knot, welcoming three kids: Calvin, 8, Oliver, 5, and Russell, 3.
Dreyer’s split announcement on Friday comes after eagle-eyed Today viewers noticed that she hadn’t been wearing her wedding ring on the show over the past month. Fichera’s last appearance on Dreyer’s Instagram came on June 15, when she wished him a happy Father’s Day.
“Took the kids to the @redsox game … in the living room. But we needed tickets,” Dreyer captioned her post at the time. “Happy Father’s Day Bri!!”
Prior to their split, Dreyer was not shy when it came to sharing details about her marriage. While speaking with Today.com in 2022, Dreyer shared how she and Fichera kept their love alive despite having demanding careers.
“Our schedules mean we don’t see each other much, but we text all the time,” she said. “Sometimes it’s even easier to have an important or deep conversation via text because we get all our thoughts out without being interrupted.”
