Disney recently announced that its highly anticipated ESPN streaming service will launch on August 21, the same day Fox is also launching its new streaming service, Fox One.
Now, Disney and Fox have announced an agreement to launch a new streaming bundle that includes both ESPN and Fox One for $40 a month, starting October 2. For sports fans, this bundle offers access to a wide variety of live sports content, including games from the NFL, NBA, MLB, NHL, and many other leagues.
“Working with FOX One on this bundle offer allows us to bring ESPN’s world-class sports content to even more fans in a seamless and innovative way,” said Sean Breen, EVP of Disney Platform Distribution, in a press release. “This collaboration reflects our shared commitment to delivering premium experiences across platforms and meeting consumers where they are — anytime, anywhere.”
The bundle saves you $10 a month

Disney’s new ESPN streaming service will cost $30 a month, while Fox One will be priced at $20 a month. If you buy both separately, it would total $50 a month, so this $40 bundle deal saves you $10 a month.
Disney’s new ESPN streaming service differs from ESPN+ in that it offers all of ESPN’s lineup of linear live TV channels, such as ESPN, ESPN2, and ESPNews. The Fox Corporation’s new Fox One streaming service is similar, in that it offers subscribers access to its news and sports linear TV channels, such as Fox News, Fox Sports, FS1, and FS2.
In a press release, Fox said this bundle will give viewers access to “an incredible portfolio of content” like the “NFL, NBA, WNBA, MLB, NHL, College Football and Basketball, NASCAR, INDYCAR, UFC, as well as the upcoming FIFA World Cup.”
If you’re an avid sports fan and want to become a cord-cutter, this new streaming bundle from ESPN and Fox could be an efficient way to do it, and a viable alternative to YouTube TV, which now costs $83 a month. However, both services launch on August 21, and the bundle doesn’t become available until October 2, so you’ll have to wait over a month to start saving on both. In addition to announcing the launch date of its new ESPN streaming service, Disney also revealed plans to scrap its standalone Hulu app and merge it completely with Disney+.
