The Top 10 Things To Do When Times Get Tough to Land A Job
When you look at this space, you can tell I’m not 25, and thus I can speak with a perspective from having worked in industry for a long time. This is the third huge wave I’ve seen from a technology standpoint that puts everyone on the same footing. The first one: the introduction of the PC, personal computing. No one knew anything about it; we all had to learn together. The second one was the internet. Same thing, no one knew anything about it; we all had to learn together.
Now with AI, the same thing is true, and people are complaining, they’re kvetching, they’re wondering, “How am I going to learn this thing?” Well, everyone is in the same boat, and everyone has the same opportunity to pick up the same skills. Frankly, these are easier than many. However, you have to get over your own inhibition and start doing the work to use AI and incorporate it into the work you do and the work you’d like to be doing. Don’t make excuses, don’t complain, just do it.
