This awesome 3-in-1 charger eliminates my need for multiple cords

Summary

  • The Knild Magnetic Wireless Charger can charge three devices at once and folds up for easy storage.
  • The charger is ideal for Apple users, reduces clutter, and features strong magnets.
  • The charger isn’t compatible with older iPhones that don’t feature Qi wireless charging, and you’ll need to remove a thick phone case to charge.

Efficiency is the name of the game for many people when it comes to their tech products. This is especially true when

traveling
. How you best fit all of your things into one suitcase,

laptop bag
, briefcase, backpack, or purse is a true testament to packing efficiency. While you may end up packing way more than you need on one trip, you won’t make the same mistake on your next excursion, especially if you have to check a bag at the airport because of it.

Consolidating your cords when you’re packing your electronics can be difficult. Laptops, phones, tablets, earbuds, hair dryers, watches, cameras, and more can often all need chargers. Plus, a charger requires a cord, too. Anyway you look at it, potentially packing fewer cords is ideal for most people. That’s why finding a charger that can power up multiple devices simultaneously is a lifesaver.

A new and improved wireless charging standard means a whole new set of chargers, stands, and external batteries to choose from.

I’ve been trying to find a good MagSafe charger for my iPhone. My wireless charging pad was incredibly slow, and unless you place a device in precisely the right spot, it won’t charge. That’s when I decided to try the Knild Magnetic Wireless Charger. Not only does it charge my iPhone, but it also powers up my Apple Watch and AirPods. I’ve been using this charger for a few months and have been impressed with its performance.

While the Knild Magnetic Wireless Charger isn’t designed for Android devices, you can still use it with smartphones that feature Google’s OS (as long as they support Qi wireless charging).

Price, specs, & availability

The charger is surprisingly reasonably priced

The Knild Magnetic Wireless Charger retails for $33 on Amazon. It can charge the AirPods 2, AirPods 3, AirPods 4, AirPods Pro, AirPods Pro 2 (with MagSafe charging cases), iPhone 12 series to the iPhone 16, and all forms of Apple Watches. It maxes out at 18W of charging, which can be used by one device or split among all three. It can deliver 10W to an iPhone, 2.5W to an Apple Watch, and 5W to AirPods. It uses a USB-C cord to plug into the wall. Magnetic chargers keep devices firmly attached to the charging pad.

Only wireless charging-compatible versions of Apple’s AirPods are supported by the Knild Magnetic Wireless Charger

The Knild Magnetic Wireless Charger is designed to reduce temperature once it hits a specific charging voltage, so you don’t have to worry about overheating. The charger comes in five different colors: white, black, blue, pink, and purple (I’ve been using the white version).

What I like about the Knild Magnetic Wireless Charger

It’s so easy to set up when on-the-go

When I first set up the 3-in-1 charger, I only used it to charge my phone during the day at home. I’d drop my phone on its MagSafe charger, watch the little gray screen pop up and the circle fill up, and get a few minutes of juice. Then it became evident that the Knild Magnetic Wireless Charger also made a lot of sense to use in my office. At the end of the work day or even at night, I’d place my devices on its pads and watch them light up to start charging. Some chargers are challenging to line up precisely with their charging areas. Thankfully, this charger has strong magnets that allow you to charge your devices easily. The fact that I don’t have a bunch of cords in my office is great for decluttering my desk, too.

The charger maxes out at 18W of charging, which can be used by one device or split among all three.

I still can’t believe how light the Knild charger is at only 9oz. The fact that it folds up is such a smart design, and the magnets that keep it folded and closed feel appropriately strong. It’s not bulky and fits nicely in one hand. Because it folds up, it’s thin, making it easy to drop in a bag for travel. It also only needs the USB-C cable that comes with it and a charging block to plug into the wall. I haven’t had a bad experience using this charger yet while traveling.

The Apple Watch charger can also tilt, allowing you to more easily use your Apple Watch as an alarm clock in the morning. This is a nice touch for anyone who wants to use the charging pad on a bedside table. It’s worth noting that the Knild Magnetic Wireless Charger is often on sale for $20.

Apple’s magnets are missing from its newest iPhone, but you can get them back with the right accessory.

What I don’t like about the Knild Magnetic Wireless Charger

It’s a great charger, but it isn’t perfect

You need to be aware of what kind of device you own. If you have an older iPhone that doesn’t include MagSafe, the magnetic charging won’t work with this charging pad. The same goes for anyone with older AirPods that don’t feature wireless charging. If you have an AirPods case that isn’t MagSafe, it will not work with the Knild Magnetic Wireless Charger.

Many of the newer versions of these devices include MagSafe, so this won’t be an issue for everyone. It’s also worth noting that if you have a thicker phone case, you’ll likely need to remove it before being able to charge your iPhone.
