The Stranger in My Home Trailer: Sophia Bush and Chris Carmack Thriller

Sophia Bush and Chris Carmack know how to keep fans hooked: they each got their start on a beloved early 2000s teen series and currently costar on ABC’s hit medical drama Grey’s Anatomy. Now, they’re teaming up for The Stranger in My Home, a twisted psychological thriller that is guaranteed to leave viewers on the edge of their seat.

In Us Weekly’s exclusive first look at the official teaser, Bush, 42, plays mom Ali Mitchell to teenage daughter Katie (Amiah Miller). However, Ali’s picture-perfect family comes crashing down after a stranger named Tom (Carmack) shows up on their doorstep revealing that their children had been switched at birth.

“This is awkward, I’m here about Katie,” Tom says. “I think you have my baby. There must have been a mix-up at the hospital.”

Not only does the Stranger in My Home trailer deliver on the suspense, but Carmack teases that viewers can expect a series of twists and turns.

“This film grabs you from the first scene and never lets go. It’s a wild ride that is going to keep the audience guessing about where the truth ends and the lies begin,” he exclusively tells Us. “It’s a thriller, yes, but also a deep dive into the emotional fallout of broken trust within a family. That’s what makes it resonate.”

The Stranger In My Home explores the terrifying idea that the truth can still destroy lives,” the Grey’s Anatomy star explains. “That’s what makes it such a gripping and emotional ride.”

Bush, for her part, echoes similar sentiments about the film’s ominous premise.

“At its core, The Stranger In My Home is about the unbreakable bond between a mother and her daughter, and the lengths a woman will go to protect her child,” Bush tells Us. “It’s suspenseful, it’s emotional and it taps into our deepest fears about trust and truth.”

This isn’t the first time Carmack and Bush have worked together on a project. They recently costarred on Grey’s Anatomy together, portraying Atticus Lincoln and Cass Beckman, respectively, but the actors never actually got to share the screen — until now.
