‘The Pitt’ Star Isa Briones Heading For Broadway’s ‘Just In Time’

The Pitt star Isa Briones is heading to Broadway as a cast member of the hit Bobby Darin jukebox musical Just In Time: As of April 1, she’ll be playing “Who’s Sorry Now?” singer Connie Francis.

The casting marks Briones’ return to Broadway after her debut as Eurydice in Hadestown in 2024. She takes over the Francis role originated by Gracie Lawrence and currently played (through March 29) by Sarah Hyland.

Briones currently stars as Dr. Trinity Santos on HBO Max’s Emmy-winning The Pitt. The series’ cast recently won The Actor Award (formerly known as the SAG Award) for Outstanding Ensemble in a Drama Series. Her additional TV and stage credits include the Disney+ series Goosebumps, the Paramount+ series Star Trek: Picard, FX’s American Crime Story: Versace, and the national touring company of Hamilton.

Starring as Darin in Just In Time when Briones joins the cast will be former Glee star Matthew Morrison, who takes over the role from Jonathan Groff on April 1. Succeeding Morrison after a three-week limited run will be Jeremy Jordan, who starts April 21.

Producers recently announced that Michele Pawk will play her final performance as Polly on Sunday, March 29, with Debbie Gravitte taking over on April 1. Sadie Dickerson will play her final performance as Sandra Dee on Sunday, April 19, and Carrie St. Louis will take over on April 21.

Developed and directed by Alex Timbers, Just In Time chronicles the short but impactful life of singer Bobby Darin, whose hit songs included “Beyond the Sea,” “Mack the Knife,” “Splish Splash,” and “Dream Lover.” The musical began previews on March 31, 2025, and opened to rave reviews on April 26 that year. The production continues to be one of Broadway’s biggest hits.
