Recreating old hits, especially the ones that have turned into cult classics, is one of the toughest jobs in show business. But Netflix managed to knock the ball out of the park with The Karate Kid’s story development in Cobra Kai. With 6 season-long thrilling narratives, the platform gave satisfying entertainment that has only come to an end a couple of months ago. However, it looks like the characters of Cobra Kai have a lot of fight left in them, as Ralph Macchio has expressed.

As confirmed by fan-favorite actor Ralph Macchio, there is the possibility of a Cobra Kai spin-off, and multiple ones at that, currently. The actor told The Hollywood Reporter, “There are a few balls up in the air. I don’t know which one is going to land.” But he has expressed the hope that if not all, then at least “some of them do, or one of them does.”  Apparently, the choice is in the hands of Netflix and the series creators, depending on which story they want to tell further.

Macchio shared this nugget of information upon the release of the latest movie from the Karate Kid universe, Karate Kid: Legends, which he believes could propel that. The actor also informed us about how absolutely hell-bent he was to have the movie released after the series finale. Legends is set three years after the finale of Cobra Kai and was scheduled for a December 2024 release, which irked Macchio to no end, as the gap in the story would have left the fans confused.

But after the recent release on May 30, he is satisfied and is hoping for more Cobra Kai action soon on Netflix, and fans are just as excited.

Cobra Kai season 6 was split into three parts, with the first batch of episodes released last July, the second round of five episodes coming in November 2024, and the third part in February 2025, which wrapped up the saga of many years.
