For months, renders based on leaked designs have circulated online, showcasing the iPhone 17 Pro with a large rectangular camera bar. Now, it’s rumored that this new camera bar could be customizable in an unexpected way.

According to Majin Bu, a known tipster on X, accessory manufacturers have started producing camera covers for the iPhone 17 Pro’s large camera bar. The leaker posted several images of camera covers that may be available for the iPhone 17 Pro, including one with a comic-book-style design and another from the sports brand Rip Curl. While these new camera covers are intriguing, it’s unclear how they will attach to the phone given that the camera bar on the iPhone 17 Pro is raised. They could possibly be magnetic, allowing users to easily swap them out as needed. Conversely, it’s also possible they could be a single-use skin that you peel off and attach, similar to a dbrand skin.

If the phone does end up getting a large Pixel-like camera bar, I believe these camera covers will be a great way to mask it.

I hope the camera covers are magnetic, as that would make it much easier to switch between different designs. While it seems you’ll be able to purchase these camera covers individually, I suspect that many of them will be sold with a matching case. Of course, many people will likely mix and match different designs as well to create bold looks for their iPhone.
