If a manager gives you an interview that’s so easy that it seems as though all they’re looking for is someone who’s breathing, who they can hire, that should be a red flag for you. That maybe this is a place that you should be afraid of.
Make sure you talk to people on staff. Make sure you get a clear picture of what it’s like to work there, not just from the manager, but from the staff as well. Or former staff who you can find online on LinkedIn. Make sure you check them out, because an interview that’s so easy should be a signal for you: why is this one firm the only firm on the planet who’s making it easy for you to join?
