When it comes to alligator or crocodile, in virtually any color you want, The Crocodile King, aka Karl Chu, is the man you should be looking to contact.
Karl Chu and I go way back. I remember when Karl was selling his brand ‘Ascot Shoes’ as just an eBay account selling these Italian shoes that cost like $2000 back in the early 2010s. He later got off eBay and started dabbling in branding his own footwear, working with various Italian and Spanish factories. When I lived in London, we often met up when he was in town and shared ideas. Karl is a true hustler and never sits still. He left his world of finance to become something in the shoe industry. And I dare say that he has finally made it and even surpassed it.

The Crocodile King moniker is only recent, but Karl Chu has been at this exotic leather supply for a while now. He found his niche and slowly grew it until it exploded. Karl started by making shoes, as you will see in this post. But it wasn’t until he expanded into clothing (jackets), luggage (wrapping it in croc), and cigar paraphernalia that he really took off.

Through his unique ideas of wrapping everything in crocodile, The Crocodile King, has now found his products sold at some of the most prestigious places in London, such as the luggage at Harrods and the cigar humidors at The Arts Club in Mayfair. Both are very difficult places to get into as a seller. That is a feat in itself!

Karl has done a great job of turning his passion into a small empire and being known as the go-to guy for exotic leather. It is rare that finance guys quit their jobs and succeed in clothing. But when they do it right, they usually do it big!
So if you love exotic leather, items of luggage, cigar paraphernalia, shoes, and want to combine them, then reach out to Karl, The Crocodile King, as he is your man.
