This inventive offering coincides with the launch of the brand’s newest sweet cream cheese flavors, ‘Blueberry’ and ‘Pineapple.’ Featuring Philadelphia’s signature creamy texture and real fruit pieces, the flavors are presented atop an uncut bagel, delivering a novel twist on a familiar favorite.
In response to shifting consumer preferences, “the Bonut reflects a broader trend: a growing number of Canadians are seeking variety in their morning routines.” As such, this sweet-savory creation blends classic comfort with contemporary appeal. While savory cream cheese continues to dominate the market, nearly half of consumers prefer sweet options—highlighting a gap in current offerings.
To mark the debut, Philadelphia is partnering with iconic bagel shops—College Street Bagels in Toronto and Fairmount Bagel in Montreal—to offer complimentary Bonuts. Additionally, a limited quantity will be available via Uber Eats.
