Older professionals—don’t let your résumé date you! In this video, I share quick, no BS strategies to highlight your experience, prove your adaptability, and land interviews. Whether you’re 50, 60, or beyond, your skills are valuable. You just can’t turn people off.

Why Are You “Never Too Old” to Find That Perfect Job?

If you’re an older professional, don’t sell yourself short on your resume. Here’s how to differentiate yourself in a good way.

First of all, lead with results, not job duties or responsibilities. Instead of “manage the team,” write “led a team that cut costs 15%”. Numbers always win on résumés.

Second, show adaptability. Mention new tools and technologies, software, and methods you’ve learned recently and you’ve used. That proves you can flex with the times.

Third, highlight transferable skills like leadership, problem-solving, and mentoring skills younger professionals can’t.

And then from there, ditch the outdated details. No one cares what you did in the last century, seriously. Get rid of that stuff in your resume. Keep it much more current. Your resume should scream experience, skills, and adaptability. That’s what’s going to get you interviews, not rejections.
