The Université de Montréal’s Faculty of Environmental Design is organizing an international competition for students to develop proposals that enhance inclusivity at its sports complex. The challenge centers on the principle of ‘invisible accessibility,’ which advocates for designing environments that are inherently usable by everyone without relying on separate, visibly identifiable accommodations.
Participants in Université de Montréal’s international competition for students are tasked with reimagining three specific areas of the sport complex — the main entrance, a stadium, and a swimming pool. The competition will award monetary prizes, and the submitted ideas will be presented at an academic conference. The evaluation of the merits of the submitted designs will be conducted by a panel of specialists.
This initiative is of significant interest to the general public.
