Wienerschnitzel Southern Bird Dogs are a new range of menu items from the hot dog-focused brand that are crafted as an alternative option for consumers to try out this spring.

The menu items are crafted with Southern cuisine in mind and consist of a marinated chicken breast tender covered in a crunchy breading before being cooked. The chicken is then stuffed into a hot dog bun with seasonings to give it the perfect complementary flavors. The hot dog-like items come in three flavor options including Bacon Ranch, Buffalo Ranch and BBQ.

Chief Marketing Officer Doug Koegeboehn spoke on the Wienerschnitzel Southern Bird Dogs saying, “South Carolina is known for its Southern Bird Dogs. Since they are served in hot dog buns, we felt like this was the perfect way to introduce chicken at our restaurants. Once we tried them, we knew we had a winner.”
