Salley Carson is not afraid to kiss and tell, especially when it comes to her feelings for Southern Charm costar Austen Kroll.
After raising eyebrows on the Bravo show for confessing that she wanted “Austen’s f***ing d***,” Salley, 31, got real about where she and Austen, 38, stand after filming season 11 of Southern Charm.
“I was just being honest. Can you blame a girl?” Salley said with a laugh when asked by Amanda Hirsch on the Tuesday, February 17, episode of the “Not Skinny But Not Fat” podcast about her yearning for Austen.
The podcast host noted, “You were feeling him” in that moment, referring to Salley’s openness about wanting to hook up with Austen during the Wednesday, February 11, episode of the reality show.
“Yeah. I’m still feeling him. I get giddy when I talk about him,” Salley confessed, before clarifying she and Austen are not “a thingy thingy.”
Salley went on to explain that she is looking for something “serious” in her romantic life, revealing that she does think Austen could be that guy “but not right now.”
“I think we have such a good friendship and we rely on each other alot and we support each other alot. I think we both like what we have right now,” Salley said, insisting that currently she and her costar have “just a really good friendship.”
Salley initially said that her dynamic with Austen consists of talking “every day,” but played coy about whether they’ve actually hooked up.
“There’s a little messing around,” she confessed, turning red and giggling during the interview.
Salley teased that although fans think she’s become a “stage five clinger” because of how intense she was in pursuing fellow castmate Craig Conover this season, that’s not the case and Austen gets that.
“I don’t really think we’re ready for each other right now,” she said about Austen. “It could be something in the future. I do think that.”
At the start of season 11 of Southern Charm, Austen was dating Audrey Pratt, whom he began dating in December 2023. While they were still a couple, Salley claimed during a November 2025 episode, “I’m a girls’ girl, I love Audrey, but my personality fits with Austen very well.”

When the pair did eventually split — Austen confirmed to Us Weekly in November 2025 that he and Audrey had parted ways, which fans saw play out on Wednesday’s episode of the show — Salley was quick to let Austen know she was interested in him.
“Austen’s going to be eating this ass before the end of the year,” she drunkenly said while pointing to an equally drunk Austen.
Although the optics made it seem like Salley was swooping in while Austen was still taken, she insisted on Tuesday that she “never made a move” during his and Audrey’s relationship.
Salley also praised Austen for how he handled being in a committed romance. “He was so respectful of Audrey during their relationship,” she said. “We were friends. I wanted to go to lunch with him one day. He was like, ‘We have to invite someone else too. I can’t go to lunch with you one on one while I’m in a relationship.’”
When it comes to what the future holds for Salley and Austen romantically, she admitted, “If I got a boyfriend I think he’d be annoyed and if he got a girlfriend I’d be annoyed.”
Salley further claimed that despite her sometimes aggressive actions toward Austen on camera, she was “making a smart decision by keeping it as friends” for now.
“[Because] he really does, he helps my mental status,” she shared.
While Salley and Austen appear to be friends with occasional benefits, Salley revealed on the podcast that she is no stranger to sliding into other guys’ DMs on Instagram.
“I just slid into Cooper DeJean’s [DMs],” Salley revealed, referring to the 22-year-old NFL player that is part of the Philadelphia Eagles.
Salley confirmed, “I have his number. I think he’s so cute. He’s going to kill me.” She then pointed out that Cooper appears to be off the market after being romantically linked to Nikki Garcia in late 2025.
“I would love to meet him if he’s not dating her,” Salley added. “There’s all these articles that they are dating but he, in all of his interviews, is [saying] no.”
After being spotted at a few Eagles games in 2025 — and wearing gear with Cooper’s number on it — Us confirmed in January that the pair “have hung out.”
Nikki, 42, for her part, seemingly confirmed their romantic connection earlier this month at a Raw event in Philadelphia after she realized the crowd was chanting, “Coop,” as she took the stage.
“Can you blame a girl for having good taste? I mean, Pro Bowl, baby,” she responded on February 2.
Cooper, meanwhile, told People two days later that it was “crazy” to see Nikki’s shout-out to him, adding, “I didn’t really expect that.”
Southern Charm airs on Bravo Wednesdays at 9 p.m. ET.
