Shocking footage has captured the moment a man allegedly pulled out a hammer and attacked three Korean men in Sydney’s CBD.
The disturbing attack took place at about 3am on Wednesday outside a convenience store near the intersection of Liverpool and Pitt streets.
The video shows one of alleged attackers pulls a hammer from a bag and repeatedly strikes one of the men.
Another victim is seen being punched in the head while looking the other way, as the group raises their hands in an attempt to calm the situation rather than fight back.
One of the victims later took to social media to speak out the attack.
‘Two days ago … I almost got killed with a hammer.’
The man said he did not hold resentment toward Australia despite the attack.
‘I don’t hate Australia. I just hope things move in the right direction and people respect everyone,’ he wrote.
‘Something bad has already happened to me, but I hope it doesn’t happen to anyone else.’

Responding to online criticism questioning why he did not fight back, the victim said violence would only have made the situation worse.
‘Everyone is asking why I didn’t defend myself. Fighting is never a good thing,’ he said.
‘They were just young kids. They need guidance and support. I want to look at life positively.’
