Japanese donut shop I’m Donut opened in the Nakameguro district in 2022 and went viral soon after for its creative flavors. I’m Donut has since expanded with five locations across Japan and now, New York City locals and visitors are being treated to a new I’m Donut located in Times Square.
At I’m Donut’s first location outside of Japan, guests will discover a variety of sweet and savory donuts. The Nama-style donuts are made with kabocha squash and vegetable shortening, which results in a chewy yet melt-in-the-mouth consistency. While the Sausage in a Blanket is one inventive donut on the menu and it shares a taste of tomato paste mayonnaise, grainy mustard and parsley, another option is the exclusive NY BLT, featuring a glazed donut bun, local smoked bacon, egg, vine-ripened tomato, lettuce and house mayo.
