The Sagara Trailmaster is one of the coolest Alpine boots on the market. And their new MTO version in the Marble Green Shell Cordovan by Rocado Tannery is their best yet! That is saying something as some of their other really cool models/versions are a close second. But the bad boys featured above are a true beauty as a piece of footwear. Art, as it goes. At least in my eyes.

My fascination with Alpine styles started years ago. Being from the Pacific Northwest, I was not a stranger to seeing hiking/skiing-inspired footwear. Growing up in Seattle it is mandatory to ski/snowboard, take hikes, go camping, and shop at the massive REI downtown. It is a part of being from the PNW. And the Alpine style is a classic design when it comes to footwear. The issue was that in my quest to create dress styles, I wanted to see Alpine styles more dressy as the ones available were far heavier and beefier. And even so, at that time, there were few options in general. So, I created a sleek version.

Since the creation of my own back in 2014, I have been very pleased to see the boot industry embrace the Alpine style. More brands than ever offer a version of one now and I love it. While their versions are always a bit heavier than my own, I like it when they make them heavy yet sleek, such as Sagara’s Trailmaster.

While I have seen Sagara’s work before, it wasn’t until I saw this new Trailmaster version in the Green Marble Cordovan that really stopped me in my tracks and made me want to look further. And I am glad that I did. I discovered all sorts of goodies on the IG page and saw a lot of cool work they are doing, using a lot of unique leathers. The Navy hide with cream trim is also a phenomenal boot. It takes great vision to combine those colors. And the sharkskin is something else for those looking for unique exotic options.

The Sagara Trailmaster has made me appreciate a beefier version of the Alpine boot. So much so, that I would probably even wear these despite having my own version. That is how cool they are. Well done to Sagara for making this design and all of their cool color combinations.
