Jane Fallon has news about her health.

The best-selling author and longtime partner of comedian Ricky Gervais shared that she had been diagnosed with breast cancer, though the disease was caught in a “very early stage thankfully” and “the prognosis is excellent.”

“I had a routine mammogram a week before Christmas,” Jane wrote on Instagram March 12. “I had no symptoms but the brilliant radiographer spotted something iffy & sent me for further tests & eventually a biopsy.”

According to the 65-year-old, she’s since had “more mammograms, more biopsies and an MRI so they can pinpoint the problem area precisely.”

“It’s been a lot, I’m not going to lie,” the TV producer said, “But, my surgery is scheduled for the week after next and I just want to get it over with now.”

Jane assured fans she was receiving “incredible care” and that “all will be fine.” However, she did admit that she wasn’t interested in “engaging with much beyond audiobooks & jigsaws.”
