The 2023 Aurelia Series Cabernet Franc is a limited-production offering of approximately 100 cases. The expression represents a meticulous selection process where only four exceptional barrels underwent an extended 17-month élevage, which nearly doubled the typical aging period for the winery’s estate wines. The resulting 13% ABV vintage presents a robust expression of Cabernet Franc, distinguished by layered aromatics of dark cherry and blackberry. This fruity sensibility is complemented by earthy undertones, anise, and black pepper. On the palate, the wine reveals polished tannins and vibrant acidity framed by mineral-driven complexity that ultimately culminates in a lengthy, sophisticated finish.
The release of the 2023 Aurelia Series Cabernet Franc joins the winery’s acclaimed 2023 Aurelia Pinot Noir and Chardonnay.
