In a significant advancement in medical infrastructure delivery, SDI Canada has implemented an innovative prefabricated Modular MRI Cassette® at Headwaters Health Care Centre in Orangeville, Ontario. This approach revolutionizes traditional construction methods by manufacturing the MRI suite off-site in a controlled environment before transporting and assembling it at the hospital. The system is expected to drastically reduce implementation time.

Compared to conventional building techniques, this modular medical infrastructure delivery system cuts the typical construction period by half, which translates to saving approximately one year per installation. The project underscores SDI Canada’s expertise in medical facility optimization. The brand has previously executed similar installations at major hospitals nationwide, including Toronto Western Hospital and the Montreal Neurological Institute.
