Taking things a step further, PopSocket has unveiled a new MagSafe Kick-Out Grip and Stand that appears to be designed specifically for the vertical video smartphone era.
The new Kick-Out Grip features a traditional MagSafe PopSocket that’s capable of folding out thanks to its built-in kickstand. This allows it to work as a sturdy stand for your iPhone to rest on both vertically and horizontally, depending on how you have the MagSafe PopSocket oriented. It’s a cool concept I’m surprised hasn’t already appeared, and I can see myself ditching the bulky phone stand I currently have on my desk in favor of this built-in option.

I could even see myself propping my phone up with the Kick-Out Grip and Stand in vertical mode and scrolling TikTok or Instagram Reels while sitting at my desk or doing mindless tasks like washing the dishes.
