Peak Design Launches Four New Travel Bags on Kickstarter

Peak Design is expanding its popular Travel Line with four refined new formats, now launching via Kickstarter. Designed for modern travel, the new collection blends versatility, intuitive organisation, and a clean aesthetic that moves effortlessly from weekend trips to longer journeys.

Announced from San Francisco on March 3, 2026, the expansion introduces the Travel Backpack 2-in-1, Travel Weekender 25L, Travel Backpack 20L, and Travel Crossbody 3L. Each silhouette is built to integrate seamlessly into Peak Design’s broader travel ecosystem while offering more flexibility for different styles of travel.

Founder and CEO Peter Dering explained that the new range builds on the success of the brand’s previous Kickstarter campaigns, including the Roller Pro Carry-On. While that launch marked a significant milestone, this collection focuses on offering more adaptable carry options for travellers who need different solutions depending on the trip.

Travel Backpack 2-in-1 – $399.95

The headline piece of the launch is the Travel Backpack 2-in-1, a modular system designed as a true one-bag travel solution. The setup includes a 34L base pack paired with a 16L zip-off daypack. Together, they function as a 40L international carry-on. Separately, they offer flexibility for day trips or lighter carry.

Constructed from weatherproof recycled materials, the bag includes theft-deterrent features, discreet AirTag storage, and full compatibility with Peak Design Packing Cubes and Camera Cubes. A detachable and stowable hipbelt adds further comfort for extended travel days.

Travel Weekender 25L – $199.95

The Travel Weekender 25L marks Peak Design’s first structured duffel. Designed for short trips, it features a stand-up structure for easy packing and a wide clamshell opening for full access to the main compartment.

Internally, stretch mesh and zippered pockets keep gear organised, while padded sleeves accommodate a 16-inch laptop and 13-inch tablet. A folding bottom panel allows the bag to compress for under-seat storage or collapse flat when not in use, offering practical versatility for weekend travel.

Travel Backpack 20L – $199.95

The Travel Backpack 20L is the brand’s most compact travel backpack to date. It works equally well as an everyday carry bag or as a streamlined personal item for flights.

An expandable main compartment and clamshell opening simplify packing. Hidden storage options, including space for a water bottle and AirTag, add security and convenience. A vertical luggage pass-through allows the bag to sit securely beneath a roller handle, and external straps accommodate Peak Design’s Travel Tripod.

Travel Crossbody 3L – $99.95

Compact and minimal, the Travel Crossbody 3L draws inspiration from Peak Design’s Tech Pouch. Its origami-style interior keeps small essentials visible and accessible, while a magnetic exterior phone pocket enables quick one-handed access.

Made from weatherproof recycled materials with durable hardware, it’s designed for travel days, city exploration, and everyday use.

Colours, Certification, and Availability

All four bags are available in Black, Sage, and Stone. Each style is Fair Trade Certified and Climate Label Certified, reinforcing Peak Design’s ongoing sustainability commitments.

This launch represents Peak Design’s 16th Kickstarter campaign, further cementing its reputation as one of the world’s most successful crowdfunded brands. The collection is available at a pre-sale discount through Kickstarter beginning March 3, 2026, with full retail availability at peakdesign.com and major retailers starting June 2, 2026.
