In 1972, a security guard and what he noticed changed the world.
I Keep Sending Out Resumes, Following Up and Getting No Results
One night in 1972, a security guard was making his midnight rounds at an office building in Washington DC, when he noticed tape over the lock of a of a basement door. Thinking a co-worker had left it there, he removed the tape and making his rounds later on, he noticed the tape back. He called police.
And out of this was the discovery of the Watergate burglary that eventually led to the resignation of President Nixon. The first step involves noticing something that wasn’t right and not pretending “Oh well,” but instead taking action on it. Being conscious and doing things like that can make all the difference in the world.
