This YKK self-propelled zipper has been showcased by the Japan-based brand as one of its latest innovations that’s targeted towards industrial applications as a way to expedite job sit efficiency. The unit has a built-in motor that will transition the gear mechanism up or down to close or open the zipper accordingly without the need for manual operation. This is activated via a wired remote to eliminate the requirement for a ladder or scaffolding.
The YKK self-propelled zipper was demonstrated by the brand on YouTube where it is shown connecting a set of membranes in roughly 40-seconds. This would allow for job sites to be adjusted accordingly without requiring staff to climb ladders or manually deal with equipment for greater safety.
