Brooklyn-based designer Virginia Sin has launched her home goods company dubbed SINS in 2007 and one of the latest to join its roster is the GAMI collection. It is made up of a range of lighting that is designed with inspiration from origami forms.
The launch nods to traditional craft dating back centuries, which are then turned to contemporary structures that are soulful and captivating. The collection is made up of an expanded series of pendants, sconces, and flush mounts. It explores fluidity and structure simultaneously and is made from a single piece of clay as a nod to origami shapes. It is a poetic way of expressing illumination, dynamic forms, and shadows at once.
