Nightmarish video shows terror aboard Frontier jet after French-speaking passenger announced he’d brought bomb on board

An unruly passenger sparked panic aboard a Frontier Airlines flight after making a verbal bomb threat.

Frontier Flight 2539 was en route from Columbus, Ohio, to Atlanta when a French-speaking passenger made the threat Sunday afternoon, according to the FBI.

The erratic passenger spewed the threat as the aircraft was taxiing to land, and his identity has not been released, according to the FBI.

As a precaution, the plane was moved to a remote area while police boarded and deplaned the passengers.

Nightmarish video on social media showed flight attendants telling the disorderly passenger to take his seat.

A flight attendant is seen standing in the aisle as the video zooms in on the man who was seemingly causing the ruckus.

He donned a hat and glasses as another crew member spoke to him.

Jessica Kinder, who was aboard the plane, told WSB-TV2 that the flight attendants started to panic.

‘The flight attendants started saying, “Heads down, hands up, heads down, hands up,”‘ Kinder told the outlet.

She said the rowdy passenger started shouting profanities at the flight attendants, while also exchanging texts with a man sitting in the row behind her.

‘They were sending voice messages back and forth,’ she said.

But the messages were in French, so Kinder could not understand them.

Another video showed the chaotic scene after passengers exited the aircraft, with bags and suitcases lined up along a remote road.

Passengers were seen walking toward a bus that later transported them to the terminal.

Atlanta police said the FBI has taken the lead in the investigation.

In a statement, the FBI reassured the public that there is no threat. Police have not yet decided whether to charge the passenger.

‘FBI Georgia responded, along with Atlanta Police, this afternoon after a flight from Columbus to Atlanta was disrupted by an unruly passenger,’ they said in the statement.

‘All passengers and crew were taken off the aircraft. The FBI can assure the traveling public there is no continuing threat related to this incident.

‘The FBI and Atlanta Police are currently conducting interviews to gather the facts,’ adding that they will consult the Attorney’s Office to determine if federal charges will be filed.

Frontier Airlines acknowledged the verbal bomb threat as the plane was rolling to the Atlanta gate, and confirmed passengers were safely deplaned after cooperating with local police.
