Incredible footage has revealed the moment a hero police officer single-handedly restrained a knife-wielding attacker.
PC Morgan Younger miraculously managed to detain Fitzgerald Carty at a London petrol station last month.
CCTV footage shows Carty trying to stab another man before PC Younger rushes into view and hurls the 66-year-old to the ground before removing the knife from his possession.
Having successfully detained the attacker, PC Younger can then be seen calling for back up which arrives a short time later.
PC Younger, who has been working at the Met Police for five years, had initially stopped at the station to buy a drink.
When entering the store, he witnessed Carty grab his victim by the throat and attempt to stab him.
Thanks to the officer’s quick intervention, the victim who was aged in his 40s was uninjured, according to NeedToKnow.
Carty has since pleaded guilty to possession of a knife and attempted grievous bodily harm with intent and was sentenced to a total of three years behind bars on Monday.

Speaking in the aftermath of the incident, a self-effacing PC Younger said he acted instinctively when he saw Carty brandishing the blade.
Pc Younger, 23, said: ‘I had just stopped to get a drink before an appointment when I saw the commotion.
‘I acted instinctively and without question, I just needed to stop a clearly dangerous man with a knife.
‘My training kicked in and I did everything I could.
‘I live and breathe policing – I have a strong desire to help those in need and keep people safe.
‘I’m just pleased the victim was not injured and the suspect is now in prison’.
Met Police have since confirmed that the victim was known to Carty, with the attempted attack stemming from a previous dispute between the pair.
Police Ch Supt Trevor Lawry, in charge of policing in Lewisham where it happened, said: ‘A dangerous man is now behind bars thanks to the outstanding work of PC Younger.

‘He saw a very violent crime in progress and didn’t hesitate to race in and wrestle the knifeman to the ground.
‘I have no doubt without his intervention the victim would have been seriously injured.
‘PC Younger was calm and professional and everything we want our police officers to be.
‘We are extremely proud of his actions and he has been nominated for a commendation.’
The incident happened at a petrol station in Lee High Road, Lewisham, at around 3pm on January 25.
