Mediterranean-Inspired Tile Capsules : Portopetro tiles

Spanish design brand Azteca introduces a look at its new Portopetro tiles — it is a collection of tiles dubbed after a Mallorcan port town which is famous for exporting stone. The team was inspired by the Portopetro tiles from a natural sort of Mediterranean hard stone, which could be worked and carved.

The stone is minimally absorptive and is quite strong in terms of its resistance to compression. All of these elements are reflected in the new Portopetro tiles collection — it can be used for indoor and outdoor spaces, according to the brand. The tiles come in two color options: Sand or White. Both of these are made with a fine-rained appearance, which nods to the sandy shorelines.
