Silversea Cruises has announced new outdoor experiences at its upcoming luxury hotel — The Cormorant at 55 South. This hospitality destination is set to open in January 2026 in Puerto Williams, Chile.
The Cormorant at 55 South is located in the remote Fuegian Archipelago and serves as a gateway to Tierra del Fuego’s subpolar ecosystems. Designed to enhance the pre-Antarctica journey for guests on Silversea Cruises’ Fly Cruise expeditions, the property will offer immersive activities that highlight the region’s wildlife, landscapes, and cultural heritage. The curated excursions include activities like birdwatching, kayaking in the historic Beagle Channel, and hiking through Magellanic forests and mountain trails.
With these immersive luxury outdoor experiences, Silversea Cruises hopes to transform what was once a logistical stopover into an enriching extension of the Antarctic voyage.
