Love Island USA‘s JaNa Craig issued a warning to Kenny Rodriguez after seeing his public statement regarding their split.
“Stfu you manipulative liar,” JaNa, 28, wrote via Instagram Stories on Tuesday, July 29. “You not taking accountability and telling people the type of person you really are is insane to me!! My first statement was me being nice. Do not piss me off.”
JaNa quickly received support from fellow season 6 star Leah Kateb. “Kenny, put a sock in it ChatGPT headass. Tell the truth for once! Racist, clout/money hungry and a scammer since DAY 1!!!!” Leah wrote via Instagram. “Tryna make it seem like it’s something it’s not. Dw, our Nay is blessed & highly favored.”
The social media comments came an hour after JaNa originally broke her silence on their breakup.
“Hi my loves. Thank you for all your love & support. It means the world to me. As you know, Kenny and I no longer together,” she wrote. “Please know that I have seen all the breakup theories and none have matched up to how terrible, disgusting and disappointing it truly is. Discovering that someone you loved isn’t who you thought they were and that the relationship you thought you were building hasn’t been genuine since day one has been truly devastating. Thank you for respecting my privacy and please know as a child of God, I will always be OK.”
Kenny, 24, for his part, issued his own statement moments later.
“The past few days have been incredibly difficult. I’ve been quietly sitting with a lot of emotions and doing my best to process everything privately,” he wrote via his Instagram Story on Tuesday, July 29. “Breakups are never easy, especially in the public eye. Sometimes, despite how deeply you care for someone, you come to the hard truth that the relationship was not something that could last long-term.”
He continued: “I’ll always be grateful for the time we shared and the memories we created. I release this chapter with no ill will, only a hope that JaNa’s path forward brings her nothing but happiness.”

Love Island USA viewers had a front row seat to JaNa and Kenny’s romance when they appeared on season 6, which aired in June 2024. After leaving the villa, the pair took steps to remain committed to each other while dealing with a long-distance relationship.
“My biggest priority is to make sure Kenny feels comfortable at all times,” JaNa exclusively told Us Weekly in August 2024 when asked about their future. “He gets my sense of humor — all gas, no brakes. I have a really bad sense of humor and I’m so grateful that he gets it. Anyone else thinks I’m psycho, like, mentally unstable. … He keeps me stable. So whatever he wants, I want!”
Kenny, meanwhile, explained how the couple “has done a good job” of considering each other’s feelings in the relationship.
“We call each other in the morning and at night, we give each other our time. We understand both of us are busy. But I think we’ve been pretty good. When you call me, I pick up. When I call, you pick up,” he said, while JaNa praised her boyfriend for “always” answering the phone.
Shortly before their split, Kenny and JaNa appeared on Peacock’s spinoff series Beyond the Villa, where they defended their decision not to live together while both filming in Los Angeles. (Kenny is based in Texas, while JaNa calls Las Vegas home.)
“Since leaving the villa, it’s a big jump moving in together with someone, and I didn’t want it to be televised, especially the first time,” Kenny told Variety in July. “So we rented rooms next to each other. Another aspect for me is privacy. When JaNa gets ready for events, she has a huge glam team. Usually, there’s somebody in there for wardrobe, and sometimes I don’t have the space to change and things like that. Granted, we were always together on the show. It was great to experience L.A. and to be with her in the same city.”
