Leinenkugel’s has introduced the ‘Summer Shandwich,’ a limited-edition ice cream sandwich that captures the essence of Midwestern summer flavors. Developed in collaboration with the alcohol-infused dessert brand Tipsy Scoop, the treat contains up to 4.2% alcohol by volume and will be available to adults 21 and over through daily drops beginning July 31—just in time for National Ice Cream Sandwich Day on August 2.

At the heart of the Summer Shandwich is frozen custard infused with the light, citrusy notes of Leinenkugel’s ‘Summer Shandy.’ Enhancing this base is a swirl of cheese fudge, which introduces a sweet-savory element while honoring Wisconsin’s rich cheesemaking heritage. Additionally, brandied cherries are blended in as a tribute to traditional supper club cocktails. Complementing these layers are delicate folds of buttery kringle pastry, reflecting Racine’s renowned baking culture. Finally, the dessert is enclosed by sweet corn shortbread cookies, evoking the comfort of backyard cookouts.

Together, these ingredients create a nostalgic and regionally rooted summer dessert experience with a distinctive, adult twist.
