Lady Gaga’s cameo in Wednesday was incredibly brief,
appearing on screen for less than two minutes. She portrayed Rosaline Rotwood,
a deceased Nevermore professor. Rosaline appeared with long white hair and a
haunting white dress when Wednesday touched her grave and recited an
inscription, providing a memorable but short glimpse into her character’s
powers. Wednesday sought out Rosaline’s ghost after her grandmother, Grandmama
Frump, suggested it as a way to temporarily regain her psychic powers.
Lady Gaga’s collaboration with Wednesday was a highly anticipated event. The show’s creators, including Tim Burton, had long expressed an interest in working with her, believing her artistic identity and unique style were a perfect match for the series’ gothic aesthetic. While the viral fan edit of her song ‘Bloody Mary’ was not the reason for her casting, it created a happy coincidence. As a part of her contribution to the show, Gaga not only made a brief cameo as the ghost, but she also released an original song titled ‘The Dead Dance’, which was featured in the new season’s soundtrack.
The next season will be filled with more mysteries and
perhaps some familiar faces. The question here is, will Lady Gaga also be one
of those faces? And what else can one expect?
What to expect from season 3 of Wednesday?
Many fans believe that Lady Gaga’s
ghost character, Rosaline Rotwood, will get more screen time, as her brief
appearance suggests a larger purpose in Nevermore’s history. Other theories
center on the Addams family itself, with some questions arising about what
Grandmama is hiding, given her cryptic knowledge in the final scenes. Some
speculate that an Addams family member, like the original series character Aunt
Ophelia, may be the one who harbors a sinister motive to harm Wednesday.

Finally, a key question for many viewers is whether Enid
will be able to turn back to her human form after fully embracing her werewolf
transformation as an Alpha. The third season is expected to delve deeper into
Wednesday’s family history and expand the world of Nevermore Academy. While the
official plot remains unconfirmed, showrunners have promised that more Addams
family members will appear. The exact release date is also not yet set, but the
show may return in 2027.
