Judge Arun Subramanian Denies Diddy’s Release Following His $1M Bond Proposal
According to CNN, Judge Arun Subramanian chose to deny Diddy’s $1 million bond proposal. He reportedly noted that he denied Diddy’s bond before the trial started. And sees no reason to “reach the opposite conclusion now.”
“At trial, the defense conceded defendant’s violence in personal relationships, saying ‘it happened’ in relation to Cassie Venture and Jane,” the judge told the court.
He also noted that after the searches of his homes, Diddy participated in “violent and illegal conduct.”
“This highlights a disregard for the rule of law and a propensity of violence,” he added.
As The Shade Room previously reported, this update arrives just hours after the 55-year-old received a mixed verdict in his sex trafficking and racketeering case. Furthermore, Diddy was found not guilty of the aforementioned offenses. However, he was found guilty of transportation for prostitution in relation to two of his former partners, Casandra “Cassie” Ventura and a woman who publicly testified as “Jane Doe.”
In the hours that followed, Diddy’s defense team reportedly submitted a $1 million bond proposal. This, requesting his release from the Metropolitan Detention Center in Brooklyn, New York. As The Shade Room previously reported, this proposal was signed by his mother, Janice Combs, his sister, and Sarah Chapman, the mother of his eldest daughter, Chance Combs. Additionally, they proposed that his travel be restricted to California, Florida, New York, New Jersey, and Florida. This, so he could access his homes in Los Angeles and Miami and meet with his lawyers.
Lastly, the proposal offered Diddy submitting his passport and submitting to random drug tests. Furthermore, Diddy’s lawyers argued that he was not convicted of a crime of violence. They also cited the 55-year-old’s need to be present for his children, shared with the late Kim Porter, his youngest child, shared with Dana Tran, and his mother, who is 85 and reportedly “suffers from various medical conditions.”

Now That Diddy’s $1M Proposal Has Been Denied, What Happens Next?
Now that the 55-year-old’s $1 million bond proposal has been denied, the judge has shared with the court his sentencing date. Per CNN, Diddy will be sentenced on October 3 at 10 a.m. EST. The defense is reportedly seeking a 21-month to 27-month prison term for the 55-year-old, per NBC News. Meanwhile, the prosecution is seeking a term of 51 to 63 months.
Lastly, the outlet notes that Diddy will receive credit for time served.
Per NBC News, Diddy appeared “deflated,” sitting with his head down and hands in his lap after his bond proposal was denied. The judge apparently looked over the request, noting that a remote hearing will be scheduled for next Tuesday, July 8, at 2 p.m. E.T. to further discuss the scheduling of his sentencing.
