The BMW 328 Hommage revisits its legendary 1930s roadster by fusing retro racing style with cutting-edge carbon fiber design. Created to mark the 75th anniversary of the original BMW 328, this concept echoes the original’s lightweight philosophy with a stripped-down roadster weighing just 780 kg and sculpted entirely from carbon fiber.
Built on a reimagined Z4 chassis, it features exposed carbon weave bodywork, round headlights, and a kidney grille inspired by early BMW design. Leather straps across the hood and perforated alloy wheels nod to 1930s motorsport, while the interior pairs saddle leather with carbon panels and minimalist instruments. Even the dash includes dual smartphones acting as race timers and navigation tools.
Originally unveiled at Villa d’Este, the Hommage isn’t just a retro concept—it’s a modern interpretation of BMW’s racing legacy, proving that performance heritage and future-forward materials can exist in one striking machine.
