Jessica Biel is supporting Justin Timberlake amid the release of footage from his 2024 DWI arrest — but she is "not happy" about the situation.
Following the release on March 20 of police body camera footage from Timberlake's arrest by the Suffolk County Police Department (SCPD) in June 2024, a source close to Biel tells PEOPLE exclusively that the actress is "not happy about the renewed attention" it has brought to her husband's case.
"There's a reason they pushed back on the footage being released," the source says of the couple, explaining that Biel, 44, finds the incident "stressful and would prefer to move past it."
"It obviously doesn't portray him in the best light," the insider adds.

According to the source, Biel is still displeased about the situation — particularly the release of the bodycam footage — but she remains supportive of her husband.
"There have been some challenging moments lately, and she's focused on moving forward," the source tells PEOPLE. "She's the happiest when she's able to focus on family life, along with her work when she chooses to take on projects."
"She's supportive of Justin, but she's also not afraid to express when she's disappointed in certain decisions. This was one of those moments," the insider adds.
The pop star and the actress, who tied the knot in 2012, are parents to two children: Silas, born in April 2015, and Phineas, born in 2020.
Timberlake, 45, was arrested after he left the American Hotel and restaurant on Long Island, N.Y., on June 18, 2024. He was initially charged with one count of driving while intoxicated and two citations, one for running a stop sign and one for failure to keep in the lane.
Timberlake's lawyer, Edward Burke Jr., has maintained that the singer was “not intoxicated” when he was arrested, and in September 2024, Timberlake reached a plea deal, where he agreed to plead guilty to a lesser offense.

Timberlake previously took legal action to block the release of the police body cam footage from his arrest, but it was eventually released on March 20 after Timberlake reached a settlement with the Sag Harbor Village Police Department (SHVPD) and local officials.

On March 2, the singer filed a petition in Suffolk County Supreme Court, alleging that releasing the police body camera footage of his arrest would invade his privacy, according to court documents obtained by PEOPLE.
“Public dissemination of this footage would cause severe and irreparable harm to [Timberlake’s] personal and professional reputation, subject [Timberlake] to public ridicule and harassment, and serve no legitimate public interest,” the petition stated.
Timberlake agreed to the public release of a version of the footage that “does not constitute an unwarranted invasion of personal privacy," the documents stated.

The arrest footage includes several moments that have made headlines, including one in which the *NSYNC alum awkwardly explained to police what he does for work, and another in which police performed a series of field sobriety tests on Timberlake.
At one point, he could be heard saying, "These are, like, hard tests," and at another moment, as police put a light in his eyes, he said, "My heart's racing."
When the officer asked Timberlake about his vehicle, he explained that he was using a rental car for a couple of days, which prompted the officer to ask the father of two if he was visiting the area.
Timberlake replied, "Yeah, I'm on tour … I'm on a world tour," and when the officer asked for clarification, the singer said: "It's hard to explain … umm … I'm Justin Timberlake." (The musician was headlining his Forget Tomorrow tour at the time.)
