There is absolutely no denying the extent and influence that Black Sabbath and Ozzy Osbourne have had on heavy metal music. The English band formed in 1968 has been more than just commercially successful during their epic generational run. Widely regarded as pioneers of the metal genre, there was no reason for them to be ‘Paranoid’ about their final swan song – The Back to the Beginning show.
The live show was nothing short of a phenomenal tribute to the gods of metal with the 76-year-old singer claiming that this was his final encore. But has the streaming juggernaut, Netflix, clinched the ultimate curtain call from the gods of metal?

With over 40,000 metal heads screaming their favorite lyrics,
the Back to the Beginning show was bound to be a roaring success. Simultaneously, a ticketed livestream was also held for fans around the globe to kick back (or rock out) in their living rooms and watch Ozzy Osbourne belt out bangers that they grew up with. Unfortunately, this treat might not be served up on Netflix just yet. The concert was streamed on the official concert website with a peak of 5.8 million online attendees. However, fans still have an opportunity to catch the iconic performance.
This show marked the first reunion of the original line-up of the band performing live on the same stage after 20 years – Osbourne, Tony Iommi, Geezer Butler, and Bill Ward. With the music director being ‘Rage Against The Machine’ guitarist Tom Morello, the farewell/tribute involved half-hour sets from legendary bands who were more than happy to pay a homage to the legends of rock n roll. While the concert has wrapped up now, the legendary act is still accessible from the comfort of home, even if Netflix is not an option at the moment.
The concert is being offered as a secure pay-per-view digital broadcast, presented by Mercury Studios in collaboration with streaming partner Kiswe. But when and where to stream it?
When to watch the Ozzy Osbourne concert live?
The global livestream already began at 3 PM BST on July 5. But viewers who have purchased access, despite all the backlash on ticket prices, can rewatch the full concert for 48 hours following the initial stream. They can watch the recorded live stream on the website until the 7th of July at 3:00 pm BST, 10:00 am EDT, and 7:00 am PDT. The event, being situated in Ozzy Osbourne’s hometown, Birmingham, was one final performance to give back to the place where he was born, as he also mentioned on his ozzy.com site.
