ECD Automotive Design has unveiled its inaugural custom Mustang build, the ’67 Ghost. This model expands the company’s reach beyond its established Land Rover and Jaguar restorations, extending it into the classic American muscle car market.
This 1967 Fastback represents the first in a new lineup of custom Mustangs (1965-1970 models) that emphasize period-correct engineering enhanced with modern performance refinements. The vehicle distinguishes itself in the competitive restomod space by retaining an authentic Ford V8 powertrain — a Roush-tuned 347 cubic inch small block producing 465 horsepower — rather than following the industry trend of modern engine swaps or electrification. The build combines this vintage powerplant with contemporary chassis technology from Roadster Shop, creating what ECD describes as a balanced driving experience suitable for both spirited canyon runs and comfortable daily use.
