Atari and AirConsole have announced a new partnership that will see the brands bringing Volkswagen drivers an in-car gaming experience for immersive entertainment from anywhere. The partnership will see classic Atari games like Asteroids: Recharged and Breakout: Recharged capable of being played directly from the vehicle’s infotainment system. The games will offer one to two players with the ability to pull out their smartphone for use as the controller and pair it with the display to battle against the system or their passenger opponent when parked.

The Atari and AirConsole partnership is positioned as perfect for elevating the driver experience to transform blocks of time spent parked or charging into entertaining gameplay sessions that harken to the golden era of gaming.
